Vecoplan® to showcase innovative shredder-granulator combination at EQUIPLAST

At EQUIPLAST, the international trade show for plastics and rubber (Barcelona, 2 to 6 October), Vecoplan® AG will be presenting its new VD 1100 shredder-granulator combination, among other innovations. The machine shreds input material like purgings and bulky objects to the desired output grain size in two stages. The regrind material is immediately ready for reuse in the production process. For users this means considerably lower investment and operating costs.

The Vecoplan® VD 1100 combines pre-shredding and milling in one compact machine. No conveyer belts are needed between the units, resulting in space savings of up to 70 percent in the factory. Moreover, the machine can be positioned in many more ways. Also, compared to two-stage shredding with conveying the connected load and power consumption are lower. Combining the machines furthermore considerably reduces the number of interfaces and thus minimises errors.

The VD 1100 is easily accessible. This facilitates maintenance and allows faster cleaning at product change. Both, the screen basket of the shredder and the screen of the granulator, can be easily and quickly replaced from the front. The system requires only one control cabinet, which simplifies operation and increases work safety. The robust design and the patented drive belt system ensure energy efficiency, high performance and durability.
