Project meetings and visit of partners’ facilities
The URBANREC project meetings are an opportunity to visit the different partners’ facilities and see how the project progresses on the ground. The last meetings coincided with visits to the Belgian partners IMOG (civic amenity site), VANHEEDE (recycling unit), PROCOTEX (production unit), CENTEXBEL (processing division) and to the French partner RESCOLL (laboratories and production units).
Between 19 and 23 February 2018 the URBANREC project partners gathered for an intensive full week of meetings and events in Kortrijk and Mechelen, Belgium. The week included visits to four of the hosting partners: a civic amenity site on IMOG’s territory, VANHEEDE’s recycling unit for mattresses, carpets and plastics, PROCOTEX’ head office and production unit specialising in the recycling of textile waste, as well as a tour of the VKC plastics processing division of CENTEXBEL.
During the week, the consortium further held an internal meeting to take stock of the results obtained so far and to plan the upcoming activities. It also had a successful first evaluation with the European Commission during which the European Project officer congratulated the achievements reached so far.
The latest meeting of the consortium took place in June 2018 in Bordeaux, France. It was hosted by the French project partner RESCOLL, specialising in polymer materials and in particular for the URBANREC project in adhesives.
