VANHEEDE Environment Group N.V. is a Belgian family-owned company with 11 branches geographically spread over the Belgian and Northern France territory. Since 50 years now, VANHEEDE is collecting, sorting, valorizing and recycling more than 1850 different waste streams totaling almost 1.000.000 tons/year.  VANHEEDE Polymers & Compounds is the daughter company, specialized in recycling of different types of plastics.

Within the Urbanrec project, grinding, dedusting, washing, sink-floating of presorted plastic fractions from bulky waste are the main steps before VANHEEDE can start to compound.  The same is true for recycled fibres or recycled wood chips in order to obtain Long Fibre Composites or Wood Plastic Composites 100 % from recycled products.
