Revalorización de plantas nativas de Argentina para el desarrollo de recubrimientos y envases activos
Amongst the Sustainable Development Goals from the United Nations, the need to preserve and recover the use of terrestrial ecosystems reducing the loss of natural habitats and biodiversity is highlighted. With this objective, it is essential to preserve native species of relevance for the environment and for food safety purposes of the human population that have access to them and whose economic development relies on these resources. In the present review manuscript, different research works are compiled dealing with the valorisation of bioactive extracts obtained from Argentinian native plants, which were used for the development of packaging structures or edible coatings to improve food quality and safety.
Keyworks: Active coatings, valorisation, bioactive extracts, Argentinian native plants.
