Welcome to the eighth – and last – newsletter of URBANREC

After 42 months (Jun16- Nov19), URBANREC project reaches its end. The consortium has been working as a large family, full of enthusiasm and encouragement, to make a reality the dream of URBANREC implementation. We, URBANREC consortium, are proud of our effort because both industrial/technical and non-technical results have been satisfactorily achieved. URBANREC partners are totally convinced that those results can contribute to the basis for a new paradigm in the EU bulky waste system, thanks to the URBANREC project seed.

During this last 6-month period, the 21 URBANREC partners worked to finally meet the overall project goals and successfully close the project development, having as a remarkable event the Final Conference held at the European Parliament, where we counted with the presence of several EU representatives as well as EASME officers.

Other dissemination and communication activities were completed, such as the four regional training sessions for knowledge transference, carried out by the local authorities of the project; and the generation of the e-learning materials and the corresponding repository (an interactive website tool),  to ensure the availability of useful material for industry and local authorities, and hence, the project continuity.

To sum up, as detailed in this newsletter, URBANREC project finishes offering several outcomes both to the industry and to the society & policy-makers, that will guarantee the sustainability of the project´s results at a long-term.

Continue reading this final issue of the URBANREC newsletter to find out more about the legacy of the project and how its results could be interesting and relevant for you.
