3. CONSORCIO

CONSORCIO is a Public Body that manages the household waste of 250,000 inhabitants on half of the territory of the province of Valencia. CONSORCIO is equipped with two good facilities to manage mixed waste and a complete Civic Amenity Site (CAS) network with computerized registry, which allows individualised tax incentives for users.

Consorcio Valencia Interior V3 (CONSORCIO)
is a Public Body that manages the household waste of 61 small and medium
municipalities near the Spanish Mediterranean coast. Together we gather 250,000
inhabitants, in a territory that occupies half of the territory of the province
of Valencia. Our main strengths are that we have two good facilities to manage
mixed waste and a complete Civic Amenity Site (CAS) network with computerized
registry of contribution and users. The computerized registry of contributions
and users in the CAS network allows us to personally encourage user
contributions through direct bonuses on the tax receipt that finances the
services.

As a partner of URBANREC project, CONSORCIO
has made available to our partners in the project, providing information and
materials collected in our facilities (mattresses, mixed furniture...), has
enhanced bulky waste collection, and arranged special containers dedicated to
safely store bulky goods in good use in our CAS network, making possible
preparation for reuse of bulky items in our territory.
