URBANREC

DV – the Valencia provincial council – organised a public seminar for municipalities to promote the project URBANREC as a new alternative in the bulky waste management, able to transform bulky waste into a resources.

This seminar brought together more than 150 local authorities and municipal technicians responsible for waste management in the province of Valencia. The project URBANREC was presented by Anabel Crespo from AIMPLAS (ES). To promote the reuse of bulky waste and to demonstrate its potential benefits for municipalities, the seminar presented the activities carried out by social economy companies in the region of Valencia, able to transform a waste into a resource and create also social value in the same municipalities.

As a result of the public presentation, more than 80 professionals expressed their interest in the URBANREC project and the implementation the awareness campaign for citizens in their municipalities.
