New approaches for the valorisation of URBAN bulky waste into high added value RECycled products
Fraunhofer ICT
The Fraunhofer ICT researches and develops products and processes in the fields of polymer technology, environmental engineering, electrochemistry and chemical energy sources. Its facilities and expertise focus on the conception and development of products and components, and on process technology, research into materials and constituent substances, characterization, testing and quality assurance. The Fraunhofer ICT has more than 20 years’ experience in the industrialization of environmental engineering task, in industrial projects as well as EU projects, such as the collaborative project Clean Sky.
In URBANREC the Fraunhofer ICT will investigate the solvolysis and refinement of polyurethane foams to achieve polyols and other valuable components for adhesives, foams. It will accompany Rampf in the upscaling of the developed processes to industrial scale.
