Welcome to the sixth newsletter of URBANREC

Discover the latest developments of the URBANREC project, half a year before its official ending!

URBANREC project is approaching to its end.
There is less than half a year left to finish the project, and partners are working even harder to achieve the foreseen results and show them to citizens, decision-makers and industries.

In the first part of 2019, URBANREC consortium had two official meetings.
The first one was the 2nd Project Review on 05/02/2019, with the EC representatives (the Project Adviser and the External Expert). The consortium received a positive feedback on the project advancement showed until end November 2019, as all demonstrators (foam samples, adhesives, needlefelts and wood-plastic composites (WPC)) were completely finished and technically successful.

Therefore, the first part of 2019 has been focused on progressing in the other three relevant pillars of the Bulky waste management system: to demonstrate the environmental, economic and social viability as well.
The preliminary analysis was showed in the second official consortium meeting, held in Warsaw, Poland on 12-13/06/2019. The meeting was hosted by the Polish project partners IOS-PIB, IZNAB and the City of Warsaw (URZAD).

- Another relevant work that started by the end of June 2019 and that will go on until the project end are the training sessions that each of the 4 regions are responsible for organizing. All this information will also be available through the Interactive tool that is being generated at this time.

As advanced, there are still more dissemination and communication events coming soon, but the most relevant one is the Project Final Conference, that will be held on 06-07/11/2019, in Brussels, at the European Parliament.
This will be an opportunity for the URBANREC consortium to show the European Commission (EC) representatives (Project Advisers, DG Research and Innovation, EC Communication services) the great project potential and become a reference project at EU level.

All public material generated in the project will be progressively released on the project website so be sure to regularly check it out on
